With Saturday's unfortunate rain out at Hamilton County Speedway in Webster City, Iowa, all eyes shifted to Sunday and Mason City Motor Speedway in Mason City, Iowa. The forecast was much better. The pits were packed full of cars across multiple USRA divisions, and the always popular Mason City staple, Outlaw Mini Mods.

For the Kevko Racing Northern Lights Modified Series Presented by Real Racing Wheels, 19 competitors signed in, ready to get after it for the $2,000 top prize. On the heels of a $10,000 win the night before, Rodney Sanders team drove overnight, 13 hours and sat on the pole for the main event.

Sanders took the lead on lap six, before eventual race winner Jacob Bleess was able to maneuver around him, ironically enough, with six laps to go. Once out front Blees clicked off the last few laps, and parked his new Longhorn by Sorensen in Victory Lane.

It was a big night for his entire team, backed by Kevko Racing, with much of their team in attendance as well. 112 total cars were in attendance, including 33 USRA Stock Cars for a 30 lap Ironman Series event.

Next up for the Kevko Racing NLMS Presented by Real Racing Wheels is Deer Creek Speedway. The tour will run in support of the Gopher 50, alongside the World of Outlaws Late Models, over Independence Day weekend.
